I absolutely loved Courtney and Jacob from the second I met them at their engagement session (you can view their engagement session HERE)! If I only got one word to describe this couple, the word would be genuine. Jacob currently serves in the Marines and this couple met after he had already begun his service, so their relationship has been filled with distance, military training, and deployments since the very beginning. Their love for each other is so real and it was a big part of their day from the way Jacob reacted to Courtney walking down the aisle to their personalized vows and dancing with each other throughout the night.
Courtney and Jacob got married at the Oceanaire Resort on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Despite the unexpected rain and thunderstorms, their day came together beautifully! I seriously wish that I could photograph their wedding again and again because it was just so perfect. We even lucked out with a break in the rain at just the right time for husband and wife portraits during the reception, and while it was raining we got creative on the hotel’s patio and played with some clear bubble umbrellas. Their decor had beachy touches throughout, from message in a bottle ceremony programs to starfish and seashells nestled in the floral arrangements on the ceremony arch. The mint bridesmaid dresses perfectly complemented Courtney’s dress and the guys’ suits, and funny stories about Jacob were shared during the toasts. Courtney and Jacob’s evening concluded with a beautiful sparkler exit before they headed off to their honeymoon! Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Beller!
