Melissa and Rob are such a fun, sweet couple and it was such an honor to be a part of their day last Sunday! The two are from New York and wanted a destination wedding, but wanted it to be something that all their family and friends could easily come to, so Sandbridge Beach in Virginia Beach was the perfect location for them! Mel and Rob first met in high school and reconnected years later, which was when they realized how perfect they were together.
Melissa and Rob exchanged their vows on Sandbridge Beach surrounded by their closest family and friends and their ceremony was followed by a fun reception at a beach rental home overlooking the bay. Their day was filled with DIY details, my favorite of which was Mel’s bouquet. Her new mother-in-law made the bouquet for Mel out of silk flowers from around the world, and it was completed with a pink velvet wrap with two charms: a pressed flower from her grandmother and a picture of her father. I just about died when I saw their color combination because purple is my favorite color, especially when combined with shades of pink! Melissa was stunning in her dress (it looked like it had been made for her!) and spending the day with her, Rob, and their wedding guests kept me laughing!
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Festa! Wishing you all the best!
