HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ROSCOE!!!
I could talk about this dog all day, so I’ll try to keep this brief. For those of you who don’t know Roscoe’s story, he was left at a shelter in South Carolina in early September 2014 (ironically just days after Preston and I got engaged, which is yet another reason why I think he was meant to be our dog). He was 3 when he was left at the shelter and although we didn’t adopt him until February 15, 2015, we decided his birthday and birthday celebration would be in September on the 15th, the same date he was adopted, and his adoptiversary would be celebrated on February 15th (another way to look at is that his mom’s been obsessed with him from day one and will use any excuse to go over-the-top and spoil him extra).
I don’t even know where to begin with this little guy. In the 2.5 years that he’s been a part of our lives, he’s become my baby, my best friend, my constant little shadow, my study partner, and my Starbucks buddy. He loves both of us a LOT (and we love him!), but I think he had it in his heart from the beginning to be a mama’s boy. He’s the biggest blessing in our lives, and I can’t imagine life without him.
Happy Birthday, Roscoe! Your mom will stop blogging now so she can go wrap your presents (because yes, we are that kind of dog parents).
